What is Kirigami?

Kirigami is the Japanese art of cutting and folding paper to create intricate designs. Derived from kiru (to cut) and kami (paper), it allows for more detailed creations than traditional origami by introducing knife cuts.

At Kirigami Forge, Japanese-style cutlery is our passion, we make original pieces in addition to restoring vintage finds from Japan and Europe. Beyond cutlery, we make traditional tools and non-traditional metal artwork.
